What does Lent look like a year after the Pandemic began?
40 symbolized transformation for the Hebrews.
Greetings, friends!
What does Lent look like for us today, a year after the pandemic began?
I believe it can be a contemplative time leading to positive transformation and resurrection.
The 40 days of Lent represent transformation.
The number 40 was symbolic for Hebrews, and denoted a person’s average life span. We see the 40 days of Noah in his Ark; and 40 years that the Israelites wandered the desert. It is a symbol of deepening awareness, letting go of old patterns that do not serve us or God well; it is a symbol of growth, or transformation and hope in the name of Jesus Christ.
